When Life Throws You a Curve Ball

We've set aside a 2-hour block Saturday afternoon for this timely panel discussion. By this stage of our lives we have all experienced expected and unexpected hardships. The panel's focus will be on sharing the coping mechanisms and strategies as experienced or offered by a panel of classmates including mental health professionals. Topics may include physical/mental health issues, the death of a child/spouse/parent, professional or financial setbacks, addictions (self and/or family members), sexual misconduct, natural disasters, gun violence, and more.

We have curated responses, to be read in whole or in part by classmate volunteers.  We believe this will allow a safe space where each story can become part of the story of our class.  The goal is to universalize the fact that, by now, we have all had to deal with serious issues, and to destigmatize issues that may otherwise prevent folks from seeking help/support.
